Director of Actuarial Management
The Role
Join Helvetia Insurance Switzerland as a Director of Actuarial Management, focusing on pricing, reserving, and Nat Cat Modelling for the global treaty reinsurance portfolio. This role involves oversight of actuarial topics in Life & Non-Life areas. As a member of the Active Reinsurance's Management Team, you will interact with internal and external stakeholders and lead the actuarial team to ensure the company has the necessary talent and capabilities. The position is based in St. Gallen or Zurich Stettbach with flexible office options.
Requirements
A qualified actuary with a degree in mathematics, physics, or a related field is required. The candidate should have a solid understanding of reinsurance markets, familiarity with IFRS 17, and a proven actuarial track record in the insurance/reinsurance industry. Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to build partnerships are essential. Proficiency in English is required, with business-level German preferred.
